Updated Level 8 Regional Championships Information
Qualification will take place at the state championships. The top 7 gymnasts;regardless of age group will comprise the "Super Team". The top 7 gymnasts in age group (8-12); the top 7 gymnasts in age group (13-14); and the top 7 gymnasts in age group (15+) will qualify as the state team. The 8th athlete in each age division will advance to a "Mixed State Team". This additional team will eliminate the bye squad. There is no bye in the Super Team competition.
An additional 48 qualifiers will be selected on a % of a % formula.
States are required to use the Regional Level 8 age groupings at their state championships. (8-11) (12) (13-14) (15+).
Saturday competition will include the State Team athletes in the 8-12 & 13-14 as well as the "Super Team". The State team 15+ age group and the Individual qualifiers (All-Stars) will compete on Sunday.
